I spoke to an international student at work who was from china and I asked told him I was sending a taxi cab to him and which bell should the driver ring. He said "i dont understand" . I said, which bell? What is your bell number? He said "I don't know", I said "Bell" and he explained he was an international student. Usually I speak more gently and slower to foreigners but he did not have an accent so I thought his english was perfect. He used different big words but did not understand "bell".
