Greetings! Tonight, we are going to make golden mushroom pork chops in my electric pressure cooker. Please don't be discouraged if you don't have a pressure cooker, no problem here, just plan ahead to make this recipe in your crock pot or in the oven. No matter if you pressurize this recipe or if you slow cook it, this will be a welcome dish at the end of a long day. here is what you will need to make this recipe:

2 Pounds of assorted pork chops
3 Cans of Golden Mushroom Soup
1 pound of baby carrots or cut up fresh carrots
1 14 ounce can of mushroom stems and pieces
1 soup can of water
salt and pepper to taste
prepared egg noodles to serve along side

In the cook well of your pressure cooker (or crock pot or baking pan) place canned mushrooms and their liquid along with the soup from all three cans. Mix well and add one soup can of water. Blend well. Add in carrots and pork chops season with salt and pepper and maybe some thyme would be nice as well. Cook under pressure according to manufacturers instructions. If you are using your crock pot, just put this lid on this puppy and place the dial to low and go to work or whatever it is you do during the day and your dinner will make itself. If you would like to make this in the oven, place the ingredients in a baking dish or foil pan and cover with foil and place the whole thing on top of a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment, this way if there is a mess, clean up will be easy. Bake at 325 for about 3 to 5 hours, checking periodically to make sure that there is enough liquid and that you will not burn your chops. They should be fork tender when you are ready to eat.

Serve along side some buttered egg noodles and some rice and you have a meal fit for a king.

I hope you try this and I hope you enjoy it, until next time, see ya!

  • Can you please do some more pressure cooker videos? I just bought this same cooker and I would like to get some other ideas. Also on the golden mushroom pork chops how can you make the gravy thicker? Would I just not add a whole can of water or is there another trick? Thank you. I always enjoy your videos.

  • @lidsman2221 I had planned on a few more because I use it a lot. I also do my salsa chicken in my pressure cooker as well as pot roast, bbq pulled pork loin and chicken stock. I have made meatballs in this with great success. If you would like a thicker gravy. Remove the meat to a separate bowl and add a cup of water that you have mixed with 2 tablespoons of corn starch. Add slow and stir until it reaches your desired thickness. Thanks for watching! Noreen

  • I want one of those cookers! I love kitchen gadgets especially the kinds that save me time and thinking. I do have to tell you it's kinda cruel what you do...fixing me a plate of such ymminess and I can't eat it! lol. Plus you have me thinking on how to make my own "golden mushroom" recipes. I'm trying to get away from most if not all canned goods. Check out BPA contamination. BPA is even in the lids of our canning jars. :( But there they're not in direct contact with our foods. Nothing is safe

  • @VivianRinSC I know all about the BPA and I try not to use things too often, but as you say, nothing is safe anymore, they want us all dead from something. ANYWAY, you should try this pressure cooker. I turned on HSN this morning and they have this as their value of the day for 89.90. I use this one a lot and at this price actually considered purchasing another. Give it a try! Noreen

  • cool..never seen an electric pressure cooker b4......we do deer shoulder in cream of mushroom and fresh mushrooms in a slow cooker for 12 hours........thanks....that looked good

  • @ironhead41 Yum! venison! This would be the perfect thing to cook it in and when I woke up this morning, HSN had this cooker on special of the day for 89.90. I highly recommend it! Noreen

  • Wash those porky hands!

  • What is in your little cooper pot next to your pressure cooker? I have one that was left to me by my grandmother but i never figured out what she used it for.

  • Love your recipes!! You're super fun to watch, too :)

  • Can you substitute something for the golden mushroom soup. Trying to stay away from chemicals in processed foods, like MSG.

  • Just got mine today, super excited to cook with it, more recipes plz

  • Awesome

  • lol not all day, but it will take like 5 hours lol

  • I had trouble with my pressure cooker not sealing either so I took out the seal and put it in with the writing upside down and it sealed properly. I have the elite cooker. Hope this suggestion helps.

  • I ihave this cooker and I am having problems with it coming to pressure . I was told that it should not have steam escaping while it is cooking. Mine has done that from day one, so I thought this was what it was supose to do. Did you have that issue? Also, I have had mine just 2 years this Mother's Day and all of the writing as gone off the lid in 3 months. No harsh detergents or dishwasher. I have to keep it on the stove under my range hood so steam will not build up on the ceiling.

  • Awesome recipe. Simple and easy--that's what I'm talkin about!
