dual booting 7 and vista 32 on my dell and, tbh vista runs just as stable as 7, still a bit sugglish but not crashing.

People need to take the TIME to tweak and customize the os to make it run well. 7 runs well out of the box but tweaking it makes it better.

@YouBrandoTube: I'll be the first to admit that I heard the bad things about Vista, therefore I didn't like it. And once I tried it and got used to it, I liked it better than XP. Perhaps other people have their problems with Vista, for me, it didn't deserve the bad wrap that it got. As for your actual question, I'd prefer a PC with Win 7. Because a lot of the programs I need for what I do isn't available for Mac OSX. And there is no point in buying a Mac if I am going to be using Windows.

it's the TLB erratum that's running in vista and cannot be disabled, with the TLB running you only get about 60-70% performance outta the cpu. I run the crystal CPUID with a tlb disable program and my fps increased by 15-20 fps in any game, not a very big deal but it's there.

@mohamadalikazi now... I don't understand why you are closing off communication and insulting my intelligence in doing so. I am, by NO MEANS, Vista's biggest fan. It does have its downsides. But it really isn't the total disaster the Mac ads and bad public opinion made it out to be. I just don't think "they changed everything so it sucks!" is a correct explanation of the issues.

Truthfully, Windows 7 makes up for A LOT of Windows Vista's mistakes.
