Warning: If you are offended by the swear word that starts with S and ends in T, please don't watch this video. Greg explains why he uses this word. If you get through the first minute of this, after the microphone squeaks, it's a very funny and energetic presentation. Greg Hopkins demonstrates how to make an inexpensive worm composting set-up at the Maui Farmer's Union public meeting in Pukalani. Greg uses a lot of kitchen scraps and "no nos" (items that are not normally given to worms) but he explains why he uses them. Raw footage by www.mauijungalow.com for www.mauifarmersunionunited.weebly.com. Meetings are the last Tuesday each month, free and open to the public.

  • You're welcome. There's also a blog post at mauijungalow (dot) com in late October re: Greg's normal composting method - I didn't get video for it, but my notes are posted.

  • Very informative. This guy seems to know what he's talking about when it comes to vermicomposting. I like that he emphasizes not to let the bins heat up by building too high. I've been using 30 gallon rubbish cans with great success.

    Thanks for posting this.
