Awesome video! I live in Anchorage...will you have any available this spring? I have been waiting for three years to get a pygmy and yes..I have built a large rock mountain as well. I assume they are gregarious, and thus come in two's or can you get just one?
thanks for the video...keep it up!!

"Catching" them isn't an issue here (smile). We handle the kids from the day they are born, so they are social and friendly and run right up to us when we go into the pens. The hard part can be keeping them out of your lap or from underfoot when you are trying to take pictures of them (LOL).

do these guys make efficient lawnmowers? how much vegetation would a pygmy goat go through in a week?

Pygmy goats actually make lousy "lawnmowers". They much prefer tree branches, underbrush, rose bushes and other "woody plants" to just plain grass so don't expect to sell the lawnmower any time soon. :) They will go through quite a bit of weeds, brush and yes, SOME grass - whatever is available and tasty, but you will also need to balance their diet with quality hay, a small amount of grain, fresh water every day and loose minerals formulated for goats.

why do you keep on changing their names?

(smile) The people who bought the twins decided they liked Jitterbug and Jazz for names. Since I hadn't sent the registration papers in yet, we obliged them and changed their names. :)

I don't know your dogs. In any case, goats and dogs need to be carefully supervised. A dog can take a goat's playful jumping and running as an invitation to chase and this can be disastrous. More goats are injured or killed by dogs (stray dogs OR the goat owners own pet dogs) than any other "predator".
