I'd say it be more than likely the thousands of Green coloured triangles stating 'NO ROAD TUNNEL' that may have got him thinking.

Carlo Carli and Kelvin Thomson have been active in opposing the construction of the east-west tunnel.
i have not heard one word from the greens and now they poorly try to hijack this issue as theres.
We have pro-active local labor mp's doing the right thing in arguing for greater investment into public transport. keep up the good work carlo.

Do people really think that Bandaid Brumby will listen to a backbencher like Carlo Carli?
He might say he objects to the road tunnel, but that's just because he doesn't want to lose Green votes and also his job.
Vote Green and at least you'll get a real representative in Parliament and asking the real questions!
