This is a handy quick and easy bowl sanding jig I made to sand the top and back radius into the sides of an acoustic guitar rim set.

That is a 1/2" bolt that comes up from under my bench. Its what the bowl rotates on.

    Thanks

  • Thanks!

On this video you can see the 25 marked on the bottom, which is the guitars top. However now'a days I use a 30' on top and 15' for the bottom. Thanks!

  • Thanks Chuck, yes with out linings you can get a little chatter, so slower is a good idea.

  • nice jig!

  • Do you know where you can buy large enough sandpaper to cover the disc?

  • That's a nice jig, thanks for sharing! I'm trying to get my head around the back radius of guitars... Is the centrepoint around which the bowl rotates located above the soundhole?

  • What about the other side?

  • Slick!

  • Very cool. Thanks!

  • What is that post in the middle attached to? Pretty cool by the way!
