Workout like John Cena: http://athleanx.com

John Cena workouts are legendary. Look up any video of his workouts here on youtube and you'll see one thing - intensity. With a combination of heavy weights, compound exercises and explosive power, John Cena "brings it" each and every time he hits the gym.

That said, in an issue of Muscle and Fitness magazine, John Cena's workout was posted and it looked nothing like the one we have come so used to seeing. Why is that? Because you can't always take a workout like John Cena is doing in those pages and think that it's the ONLY workout that he is doing all year round.

Take into consideration his movie prep, WWE travel schedule and the fact that he simply has to save his energy for the ring and you realize that sometimes he has to go lighter in the gym if he wants to be recovered enough to perform his job in the ring!

With ATHLEAN-X you are able to do the same thing. You can train like an athlete and still get in the required rest and recovery that is needed to allow your muscles to grow and respond to your workouts. As all superstars in the WWE know, in order to achieve results you need balance in your training. Let ATHLEAN-X be your balance. You can get this program at http://athleanx.com

  • Muscle is not just muscle. You have different types. There is slow twitch (type I) and fast twitch (type IIa and type IIx). Type I is used for endurance events like a marathon. Type IIa is used for heavy resistance training like a 3 rep bench. Type IIx is used for explosive exercises such as a 100 meter Sprint. So don't say muscle is muscle and if you have it you can do any sport or activity because that statement is 100 percent false. Functional muscle is real.

  • @haley12351 then you're not dieting.

  • John is the best

  • @Cornbreadddd Your muscles are functional for what you prepare them for, if you train exclusively like a bodybuilder you're functions is looking good, and a powerlifter is lifting as heavy as possible, that's not really useful if you ask me. An athlete trains to be functional in every aspect, mma, baseball, basketball etc. those are sports that involve everything, speed, power, cardio and acuracy. That's a lot more useful, and a lot more healthy. Sou wich one YOU choose, showing off or athleanX?

  • JDcav24 is it true that if you lift weights you wont grow?

  • thats just for his marine movie workout, i watched cena workout for many years and he uses loose weights more than anything, he used machines to look good, he really trains like a strongman, body builder only care about look, strongmen real workout

  • @haley12351 how do u know your gaining fat and not just muscle? use a body fat clipper and see overtime again if the bf % went up then you are gaining fat, if not then your gaining muscle off the p90x

  • i am 13 im 5,9 and 189 pounds but im not that fat i just want to know if this will burn ur body fat bc im trying p90x and im gaining it

  • Muscle is muscle. The whole concept of "functional" muscles "functional" training just seems like a way to water down the real thing. If you have muscle, you can utilize its functions.

  • John Cena is on the road 310 days a year not 200
