@tomservo56954 Oh, if that were true. Kids were not exploited in the way we know today but it happened in its own way. Adults were very out of touch with kids needs. Giving kids "stuff" was often seen as a solution. I would like to think better care was taken here and that Betty indeed would not have allowed it, if she understood the situation.

@TrixieVonTrixle I'm sure back then, they didn't do things just to exploit children and their problems--and Betty would have NEVER gone along with it.

It's amazing how relevant she still is on television today with her show Hot in Cleveland and the various tv commercials that she has..

The Brit sounds like Noel Coward. You know, some nude photos of Betty White have surfaced, believe it or not, quit recently, from long before this show, of course. Predictably, she looks good in them.
