People often think that way ^^... sometimes when I am walking outside with my boys there was often the question... "Is this a little dog?" XD

Here in Germany its forbidden for pet stores to sell ferrets, because they often don´t know how to care for them... I just don´t know where the thinks are where you live, but try to find some ferrets in a rescue or from a GOOD Breeder. Just one think you should NEVER have just ONE Ferret. They are very social and need a partner... a human is not enough, no matter how good you take care for it

Ferrets are ferrets. They're related to weasels, but are domesticated. They're supposed to have an intelligence level somewhere between dogs and cats, but my ferrets seem much smarter than my Great Danes. If you Google "ferrets" you should come up with plenty of information. Good luck!

My baby would take showers with me at times. I'd get the water just right and he would relax in my hands. I remember when I used to have long hair, he would climb up my shoulder and curl around my neck under my curtain of hair. I just lost him, found out he had cancer when it was too late. He was 7 years old.
aww, my ferret loved baths. If i got the tempurature just right he would half close his eyes
and just relax in my hand. He also loved the blow dryer and never bit anyone ever!. I had the best ferret :)

@sotahjarta Sounds like my little guy... except the biting thing. He didn't bite me, or any other people, but he loved to surprise attack my rottweiler. Fortunately, the dog loved the attention, even if it meant letting the ferret gnaw on him a bit!

I have had ferrets for a few years now - I love the little monsters. All mine are rescues so I often get them malnourished or mishandled. Often with adrenal or other problems. I only have 2 at the moment and my little little bandit was so malnourished when I got her she couldn't take 3 steps without falling down. She is doing very well and running quite happily.but, she is old. Doc is a big silver male - very healthy but was a biter. Finally got him calmed down to a gentile nipper.

@sordello51 When I got my guy, he had a broken leg. But it healed up ok and he was always so full of energy and such a loving little guy, you'd never have known he had such a rough start. Sadly, he passed away before his time though. Adrenal gland failure.
