If Velma hadn't turned around at 0:33, she woulda made it into town to tell on mean ol' Miriam! Sometimes when my friends and I are about to leave each other we I like to say,"Well I'm goin' inta town, and I'm gonna tell them what you been up to!" If we're feeling particularly silly, we'll even throw in a scream like Velma's (@ 0:34) when we walk away.

agnes moorehead was indeed nominated for best supporting actress academy award for this performance in 1965...

few people know..but Joan Crawford was actually suppose to play the role Olivia ended with..but she was ill during the shooting and had to back out. Joan really wanted to get back at bette davis for how bette treated her in baby jane. she never got her chance to get bette back

It's hard to believe this is the same Agnes Moorehead (as Endora on Bewitched). I love the way she steals the scene from Olivia de Havilland just like Olivia steals the "slap scene" in the car from Bette Davis.
