This is "A Reminder" from the Airbag/How Am I Driving EP.

If I get old, I will not give in
But if I do, remind me of this
Remind me that
Once I was free
Once I was cool
Once I was me

And if I sit down and cross my arms
Hold me up to this song

Knock me out, smash out my brains
If I take a chair, start to talk shit...

If I get old, remind me of this:
That night we kissed, and I really meant it

Whatever happens, if we're still speaking
Pick up the phone, play me this song

  • thank you, for uploading this :]

  • IMHO, this song and "Pearly" were both plenty good enough to have been included on OK Computer. They would have made the album even better than it was. Seriously, Radiohead is CRAZY GOOD.

  • @DLudvickson OK Computer is meant to be a loop. The first song talks about the aftermath of a car crash, and The Tourist ends with "Hey man, slow down, slow down, idiot, slow down, slow down." That final triangle hit at the end is the crash itself.

The album needs to be cyclical, because Thom's described as the thoughts you get stuck on. Snapshots in his head of people living in the modern world.

So I love this song... but I disagree!

  • @ritahersh The one that's written and recorded by a band that isn't muse?

  • these are some awesome lyrics

  • Just a little story: a few years ago, in a Radiohead concert some asshole stole my wallet. I spent a lot of time and money to replace my ID and licences, so I've decided that I keep them separate. One and a half years later my friends and I spontaneously took a train to travel a neighbor country and 30 minutes later I realized that I left my ID at home. I had to get off the train and as I wandered around in an unknown town I found this EP in a store. What a series of coincidences...

  • one of my favorite songs of all time.

  • Thom thinks even to the Czech republic with this song!!!

  • Used to listen to this every night at 3am cycling down Widcome Hill in Bath.
