Perfect

That was, without a doubt, the best routine she has EVER DONE! Freaking perfect on every single landing, dance was amazing and expressive as always, that quad spin was out of this world, and her new double layout is the best EVER! If Daria doesn't win some kind of medal in Beijing, then I'll just forget this Olympics ever happened. She deserves it more than anyone else! Favorite gymnast ever!!

she smashed it. Even now, 3 years later, I miss her.

if only she did that routine at the 2008 olympics

What a shame. YouTube has downgraded the quality of this video.

Beautiful double layout! too bad this didn't happen in Beijing T_T

Yes, he or she means, a triple twisting triple layout is physically impossible. Only if you're on a tramploline into a pit.
-
I'm sorry but people said that triple back tuck was physically impossible on floor and Valeri Liukin did it...
-
Her rudi is supposed to be tucked :)

Agreed - that was awesome. One of the best of the world. I'm a coach using her floor music for one of my gymnasts and I'm watching this for inspiration and I'm thinking, I hope no one tries to compare my gymnasts to Joura for no one can do this piece of music justice the way she does! LOL.
was that a dubble lay out or a tripple

Double. I daresay triple layouts are physically impossible on floor, even for men.

so i noticed she didnt complete the gomez the subsequent night and for me that begged the question "why not?" As a dancer I find the "gomez" / quadruple pirouette relatively easy. However, I notice that most gymnast don't spot in there turns which makes maintaining your balance extraordinarily hard. Does anyone know why gymnasts are trained with this technique? My sister is a gymnast and when I thought her the spot she always hit her triple pirouettes.

Dasha is one of the only gymnasts to spot their turns. Her not hitting the turn on Friday was probably just a fluke. And you'll know already that it's quite hard to turn on a soft springy floor :)

Nice.
F, C-C[11], D[1], C, D-B[1], C[1], C=C, D[1]
A-6.3 + B-9.4 = 15.7
That quad spin was amazing! I wonder if she meant for it to be a triple but realised she could hold it a tiny bit longer!
No words for that DLO!

Eh, she used to do a 3 1/2; she's permanently upgraded it now.
