Sub'd before you even opened the knife.

Yhhooo!
Go for the Brusletto Hunter. Much better knife!!

this is a beautiful knife with a beautiful handle but i just find the handle to be a little too thin for my liking. i own the fjellkniven and i'm looking into purchasing the even longer fossekalen. yeah no battoning. i tried and the wood on my old fjellkniven split.

Great review, and I love the knife. I plan on buying one of these or a Helle Harding. Maybe both.

For the weight and usability, shouldn't you take an axe for splitting wood instead of batoning with that steel bar?

@Rhinoch8 Yes... if you have one with you. Batoning with a knife is just to show that a great bushblade can be very versatile. You can also use a wood wedge to split thicker logs (using the knife to start the initial split).
