Bravo, cowenby, everything you say is spot on - Tobymilner, why make the stupid comment that it doesn't flow? One of the best aspects of her interpretation is that it does flow. Brahms asks for contrast in this piece - it is playful but at the same time rich with lyrical warmth. The very essence of this performance is that while capturing the sprightly rhythm, she also conveys the joyous ecstatic undertow. It is tragic that you that you can listen to playing like this and not be moved by it.

I do prefer Wilhem Kempff and also Myra Hess' version. But i still think she is a very fine pianist!

Grate Job
hmfreedman, I'm sorry, but I totally disagree. She has done a fine job with this piece. She has brought the melody out extremely well. Her phrasing is superb. Brahms would be proud to hear this work performed by the Ms. Koblar.
