A tribute to the "Huey" UH-1H Iroquios operated by 3 Squadron - Royal New Zealand Air Force as they begin retirement in favour for NH90s and A109s. The first aircraft is expected to be delivered in 2010.
This video is a tribute to the those that maintained, piloted and served with these aircraft in their long history in New Zealand & Overseas.

This is a very fitting tribute for the Royal New Zealand Airforce. I had one of these visit the college I attended 2 years back and I have not forgottern that day and probbley never will thank you so much RNZAF you do so much for us

They always took are SS# before we boarded slicks because the dog tags just melt in the crash. You can probably find Hueys still lost out there in the jungles of Vietnam. I knew a Major that was shot down twice in hueys, they gave him bronze star everytime that happen.
