Actually a very good commercial despite McKnight saying that a tsunami is a "thrilling prospect" in surfing ..nope it aint.. and his using the "wolf pack" metaphor, which really doesn't fit.
But a So Cal guy like me feels a bit of joy when I watch the ad and the animated waves, the surfing, and the term "rip it up".
Too bad that Quiksilver will soon be ripped up by creditors though.

Retarded commercials. 30 seconds and he managed to say absolutely nothing, yet he says it like it's the most matter of fact thing you've heard in your life.

At first I thought this commercial was a joke about out of touch business leaders spouting meaningless buzzwords. One of the worst commercials ever. Absolutely nothing is conveyed. Animation is ok though.

Just like Kelloggs ripped off Don Hertzfeldt ("Rejected") for their Pop Tarts commercials ("Crazy Good"), Microsoft ripped of Jerry Levitan's Academy Award Winning Short. This is empty compared to the beauty of Levitan's moment with John Lennon. Inspire originality in companies? Way to do that with unoriginality.

These comments miss the point that MS has been providing the technology solutions that underly all business for twenty years. It isn't supposed to be about vista or anything else. The fact that you don't understand what it means to associate Microsoft with simply technology solutions disqualifies you from the audience this commercial was made for.

If this is the case for you, I recommend you just enjoy the pretty colors and shut up.

I'm pretty sure Sun Microsystems got off the ground without Microsoft - you wouldn't have a web server if it weren't for Sun. HA HA HA

I'm pretty sure Sun Microsystems got off the ground waaaaaay before Billy Boy stole dos for 50 grand and started his corrupt little company that later became the crap software maker called Microsoft...
