@StopLiesSeeTruth If that is the case, then I do not know what they are protesting. I am an animal right's advocate and a hardcore vegan, but I save my voice for cases where I see abuse, and I actually see none here. As long as they don't end up in slaughterhouses at the end of their careers. Thank you for taking such good care of these horses. :-)

If anyone cares to know, those fans with the mist like that are actually very nice. My grandfather had a setup like that for his mules, and thanks to a stingy grandmother who didn't like to turn on the AC I spent many hot days in the barn with those mules. Almost as good as an AC, except it's kind of wet.

That I've seen from Peta, they barely know which end of the horse is the head, so I don't take them seriously.

@jukietar: at least they have a job and are well taken care of. Do you know how many horses waste their lives away in a pasture, starving because no one cares enough to feed them. They figure, they've got weeds, they'll be fine. WRONG! And if you would pay attention, you'd see that these horses work 6 weeks on and 12 weeks off. Those 12 weeks are spent at a farm in upstate NY. Better they have a job and be cared for than starve in a pasture and potentially be sent to slaughter.

These carriage horses are some of the best kept horses in the U.S. You people who are giving the owners of these horses a bad time are just plain clueless about horses. C..L..U..E..L..E..S..S!!!!

Other horses should have it so good. Look at the auctions and feedlots where horses are taken because the owner doesn't want to care for them anymore. The horses are emaciated, hooves so long they have trouble walking, sores, sick, and just plain sad.

You people have nerve. Clueless and stupid!

@TreasureOne Then you should leave the industry alltogether, you have some nerve, my horses' life is a walk in the park compared to the training and unatural disiplines you put your horses thru. I was right the first time except I forgot to add" holier than thou" to the "clueless git" part.

You are joining the ranks of those who want to stop ALL EQUINE USE.

@StopLiesSeeTruth Actually, I'm an A circuit groom to national level, as well as a vet assistant. I left the TB industry because lack of turnout was one of the issues. But thank you for your classy, yet erroneous response.
