Lovely song, God watches us all, he may be near or he may be distant but true we are all being watched by the good Lord. I will never get tired of Bette's beautiful voice, she sings with with a beautiful passion, I just adore her ...

nice voice,nice melody,but unfortunately wrong words,really wrong....from a distance? are the wars,the hunger,the diseases,the crimes,the sins,the evil in the distance? but this is the biggest wrong of this song IS GOD WATCHING FROM THE DISTANCE? yes if you turn your back to all of these things and turn your back to God and you want to ignore the world and live the perfect life in your dreams well... then I think everything is gonna be perfect if you are not mind twisted,but is fake not true.

@cindiloohoo552 it's impossible. Life is a struggle for resources and people are naturally greedy. Countries want to outcompete and outbid other countries. Leaders only wants what is good for their OWN people.
Unless everyone in this world is willing to co-operate and share resources with each other peace is not possible. Peace is only an illusion which we will continue to create as we try to find that "Garden of Eden"
