On Sega Mega-drive/Genesis VGM is much better with "PAL edition" than the speedup/original "NTSC edition". We can also see that in Sonic1. This is only my opinion so listen and take your own conclusions.

  • @alphamoe Super Mario Bros was also sped up for the Original NES PAL Version.

  • interestingly, while a number of old games were slower (slowing the music as well as gameplay), some were strangely sped up, such as super mario's virtual console release, and I think that the game monster rancher 2 (released in PAL regions as monster rancher), was also slightly faster (the timer for fights seems to not be counting seconds.)

  • Sweet, I like the slow version

  • The music makes much more sense in PAL edition
