How to brush a cat's teeth...or 2 cats!!

No more stinky breath! Poor little Nibbles (white & orange cat). He doesn't like getting his teeth brushed as much as Tommy (gray tabby). But now they have clean, pearly whites and fresh breath!

You can get a special cat toothbrush and flavored toothpaste that cats love at Petsmart, Petco, or usually anywhere where pet supplies are sold. TIP: Take small steps and build up to this point. You can start by just letting your cat lick the toothpaste from the toothbrush while you gently rub the brush against their teeth. After weeks of letting them adjust, then try the back teeth as well. Good luck!

My little Abigail will definitely have to get used to getting hers brushed. The cat breath was driving me crazy. Especially when she likes to lick my face and hair.

I hope you're not using human tooth paste--you need to use stuff from the vet, as human toothpaste has ingredients in it that can cause them intestinal distress when they swallow it (they don't know to spit it out, as we do). There are also over-the-finger brushes that are easier to use. I am about to get my hand bitten off as I do my cat's teeth!
