I remember, as kids, we had our own version of that song, that started, "Neither a borrower nor a lender be... do not forGIT-- stay out of ****....

RIP Alan Hale Jr.

@SuperMegaUberGenius someone should send this to the Republicans so they can use it to mock Obama.

Best Gilligan's Island EVER!

Good advice. Don't lend things and don't borrow. Polonius is wise.

@phogroian He was my favorite on Gilligan's Island, Dawn Wells was my next favorite. BTW did you know Dawn was tone deaf? Everyone said she sang just like she did in the episode where she hit her head and thought she was Ginger, they said they had a professional singer dub in her singing.the late Bob Denver (I loved him too) said Dawn would start singing and mess them all up.

@Sheri451 Agreed, this episode was the stuff of legend. Alan Hale was such a sweetie! I sure miss him.

As long as I live, I will never forget this episode. I remember every word of very song on that episode.

Love it!!
When I was in high school this helped me to learn Shakespeare. And I also had little help from Maurice, Samantha's father on Bewitched.

America's debt under Obama has hit $15 trilion dollars today.
Wow, now Shakespeare's finally starting to make sense to me...

We wouldn't be facing a crisis of sovereign debt (PIIGS), state debt (CA), and municipal (county/city) debt around the world if our political "leaders" had as much common sense as Shakespear or simply watched Gilligan's Island. This is a great song to teach your children.
