Difference between X-Mini Max and X-Mini II? And how loud is this? How far could away from it could you be to hear it decently?

I don't own X-Mini II, but from what I've heard the bass is much better in the newer version (though they are pretty good in the first ones as well). Also you get just one speaker with X-Mini II, unlike with X-Mini Max, where you get both so you can listen to stereo sound. And with the newer ones you get better battery life and you can plug them in a row to get more powerful sound.I think they will be rolling out X-Mini Max II soon. About the distance, it depends on the circumstances.

When you say the "new version", does that mean Mini II?

I don't really care much for stereo, just as long as the sound quality and volume is good. Do you think I should get the Mini II? It's cheaper too i think. (And I'm not waiting for the Max 2 btw)

Yeah, I mean Mini II by that. You should definitely go for it and buy it, even the first version is awesome for such a small speaker. If I wouldn't have the first one, I would definitely buy those.

Thanks man. And when you said about distance, "it depends on the circumstances". At medium volume on the Mini Max, in a quiet room, how far away would you have to be to hear it decently? And also, from close, is the sound quality (not volume) similar to a computer monitor speaker? Basically how distorted is the music from the Mini Max?

It depends on how good are your monitor speakers. But as far as I can tell, these are definitely way better then the ones normally found in monitors. In a quiet room, at medium level (on an iPod), these are not so loud, but turn them around three fourths of the full volume and you would have to be in a really, and I mean REALLY bug room to not hear them great. I think they are good even for some smaller parties. The music isn't much distorted at all.

Are these the best for portablilty because i got a 400 watt system and a 150 watt sub on my computer and obviously thats not very portable

so am i rght that the x-mini max is just 2 x-mini speakers with a different shape on the bottom but the same quality as the x-mini? because buying 1 x-mini max is cheaper then buying 2 x-mini's ;P
