@dontcutthebaby8 Face it - you just don't like Judaism .When's the last time you cut yourself and you were wearing a surgical mask? There are antiseptic ways of doing a brit. It's been done for thousands of years and all Jewish people were conceived by men who were circumcised. Not only Jews get cut - Christians do it also, just without the ceremony. What about a Jewish boy is not circumcised and grows up feeling deprived and different?

I say the same thing @don'tcutthebaby8. I am not Jewish, but the Jewish people have been doing this for thousands of years. They know now about sterilization, as we do.

no surgical mask over the cutters mouth. what if just by mistake some saliva drips on the wound no more clean. and since the verses have a different possible interpretation the son should choose which interpretation. which faith! what if the son grows up and chooses a different faith? it is possible and happens. compare exodus 12:14 and 12:17 to genesis 17:9 clearly two generations. same for verse 12 and 10 too. jacobs cut was not written or was he not cut?
