On October 27, 2009 the "Green" Mayor of Baltimore arrived at the Reservoir Hill Improvement Council meeting in a Chevy Suburban with a full entourage including a driver and a body guard. The driver stayed in the idling car that was parked illegally at Chauncey Avenue near Eutaw Place for at least an hour while the entourage sat in the meeting and tried to fool the citizens of Reservoir Hill. Why can't Mayor Dixon drive herself around in one of the city's numerous small Chevy Cavilers? The people of Baltimore pay for all of this wastefulness. We have all had to make sacrifices during these hard economic times, why do our leaders live as lavishly as they ever have at our expense? Our leaders live like arrogant dictators because we let them.
Baltimore is going through some crazy times and young people need to stand up and take this city over. We have a local government that relies on the public being ignorant of what they are doing in order to stay in power. Our leaders buy votes, reward cronies, take bribes, allow anarchy to reign, worship financial contributors, get high off of power, and pray every night that citizens like us will stay asleep. The time for TRUE government accountability and transparency is finally here. The status quo must go! Start the Revolution!
