The power went out on my Mac Pro out of the blue and I had no idea what was going on. It turns out, my logic board went down on my Intel Mac Pro.
I found no movies relating, so I made a quick video which explains what I went through and it identifies parts within the Mac Pro to help make your troubles a little easier.

  • FINALLY!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! I got the same problem on my mac. Yea I couldn't find anything about it on the internet. Thank You For Helping Me!

  • Hey no problem. I hope it goes well for you. One thing I will add is that I removed all 4 of my internal hard drives before going in. I had a ton of personal info on my drives, and there was no reason to risk that info getting out. They should be able to hook up another drive no problem.

  • Essentially...Apple fucked you GOOD !

  • I had similar problem with the same MacPro early 2008; Apple store is replacing Logic Board, processor and raiser card.

You are right you can expect these Geniuses to know everything - I provided them with core dump and they were quick to make a decision.
