Dragon Age: Redemption - Josmael (Episode 3) ft. Felicia Day!

Dragon Age: Redemption is a six-part web series set in the world of the EA/Bioware RPG Dragon Age. The series tells the story of Tallis, an Elvish assassin, who gets a last chance at redemption when she's sent to capture a rogue Qunari mage intent on wreaking havoc in the world.

the phrasing was meant to be more metaphorical or poetic. a drowning man it can be said has a much more intimate and greater knowledge of the sea than the most experienced sailor, as that sailor has rarely if ever experienced the sea through anything but a ship. thus a drowning man swimming in is knowledge of the sea is a good metaphor for a mage knowing magic. not a great one mind you (as shown by the comments it is unclear to some) but a good one non the less
