Discovered 50 years ago and opened in March 2008, this BBC news video offers a tour of four restored rooms in emperor Caesar Augustus' first home on the Palatine Hill, plus a brief panoramic of nearby sites including the Roman Forum and Coliseum.

Yes, it was a very interesting time. Specially the time of Augustus. I feel the roman spirit is still alive the iron is still there. Imagine Augustus was Imperator when the King of Kings Jesus was born. What a magnificant time that was to be alive when the messiah was born into this world, god itself became flesh.

The bible that gives the stories of christ are by all means real. In manifest. Mirely by the fact that it speaks common scense about how to live lifes better. It wasn't mad to punish people. Actually no you see we have physical evidence of these great people throughout history, I.E. statues, likenesses on coins, written documents first hand from people who lived during these peoples times. So far there is absolutely no evidence of Jesus existing. And plenty of evidence to suggest Jesus is an artificial construct, a combination of earlier pagan gods such as Mithras. Clearly facts mean nothing to the ignorant faithful masses of the world.

@ozvulcan And if you believe that, then never did Ceasar, Livy, Herodutus, Pericles, Euripides, Josephus...in otherwords, for anyone to be stupid and ignorant enough not to believe in the existence of the most influental person that ever existed, has to deny all other famous persons of history who have far far far less written about them from their times...of course, for the narrow minded ignorant secularist, facts mean little!
