democracynow.org - Responding to President Obama's State of the Union address, longtime consumer advocate and former Presidential candidate Ralph Nader says Obama's criticism of income inequality and Wall Street excess fail to live up to his record in office. "[Obama] says one thing and does another," Nader says. "Where has he been for over three years? There are existing laws that can prosecute and convict Wall Street crooks. He hasn't sent more than one or two to jail." On foreign policy, Nader says: "I think his lawless militarism that started the speech and ended the speech was truly astonishing. [Obama] was very committed to projecting the American empire, in Obama terms."

  • @WikeddTung Yes, Ron Paul has been for the illegal wars and building of Empire for many years. He always talks about building more Empire. He is always talking about religion too. I wish that Ron Paul would talk more about things like Freedom and Liberty along with silly things like follow the U.S. Constitution. Let me ask you a question. Have you gone soft in the head? Ron Paul is the only person in the debates who would stand up for your personal liberty, against the NDAA. What have your done?

  • @karmagal The U.S. Constitution is the Lord of the Flies form of Governence. I am sure that Ralph Nader would agree with that. lol You are the result of what has happened to the Public Education System. I suggest reading~The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America by Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt.Maybe you will be able to come to grips on what has happened to your mind.

  • No candidate now is as articulate or as on point as Nader is. Compare him to Romney, it's a joke.

  • @branscom81203 Oh, you mean Iserbyt....that person who thinks that the government is hijacking America because it won't permit religion and propagate nationalism in public schools. Have YOU gone soft in the head? That entire small government movement is run by crypto fascist who want to force this country into God-Guns-Nationalism. They are not progressive at all. And guess what? Neither the media nor the schools taught me that. I taught myself!

  • @branscom81203 With Ron Paul, you're free.. to die in the gutter. But he's right on the corporatism and war issues.

  • I don't know what will happen when Ralph Nader dies..

  • After the crash of US-plutocracy people will find out that the native Americans live(d) the right way and that the Vatican's plan to establish a global God's State was mainly criminal.

  • good stuff, but Nader needs to get control of that blinky-eye-thing going on there.

  • Don't support the less of two evils this election. It's never worked out well.Support yourself & help others whenever possible. The rich have chosen there kings, and they don't need us.Render unto Ceasar what is Ceasar's,and to god ,your consience of what is right.

  • It would be nice to hear Nader acknowledge that Dem policies are less evil than Republican policies, for once.

  • @gambit1357 because they're scared of what he could do to galvanize the US people
