I love to look at the details when I see her on film. Her right arm is always held a little bit out, so the hand can beat the time (she's about 1/4 beat slow on everything, which makes that voice shimmer like diamonds on a moonlit sea) and her left brow lifts slightly while the right eye squints, her signal that she's giving us everything — the Lord couldn't have made her more beautiful, and she couldn't have made music more fascinating, elegant and magical.
