Alejandro Jordowosky and Ridley Scott were suppose to do that movie and i would have loved to see them do it. But face it, Lynch isn't one to make expensive Sci-fi hollywood blockbuster style films since it's not his thing despite Elephant Man was an excellent mainstream effort and thank god he went back to the independent film crica, every director has his clunker every now and then you know.

@Johnlindsey289 YOu can't blame Lynch entirely. I mean most of the material was already taken by George Lucus when he made Star Wars.

It is my fave Lynch movie with Elephant Man, Muhulland Drive and Lost Highway. You glad Lynch learned his lesson after his disaster known as Dune to never do big budget hollywood style blockbusters again? it certainly did and he returned back to his comfort zone where he belongs.

I always love trailers that tell you absolutely nothing about the film, but make you really want to see it anyway.

This is my favorite Lynch film of all time. This trailer does not do the film justice, but it is such a genius effort in casting, story music, and noir, that no trailer could really sun up the film. Great performance by Dennis Hopper, and often overlooked Isabella Rossellini, in a very brave role. One of my faves!
