Great video. I served 2 tours flying on VC10s on 10 sqn in 1980s and 1990s.
Its a shame to see them end this way, but it had to happen one day.40 years going on 50 aint bad going.

I was a RN submariner and flew out to Singapore in XV102 'Guy Gibson' in August 1968; and out there again in another VC10 (name unknown) in November 1969.
I next saw XV102 nearly 40 years later at Yeovilton about 2005. It sure brought back some memories!
An awesome aircraft. They can't wear them out so they have to break them up...

We need to keep one flying in years to come!

I flew to Hong Kong on XV109 in january 1969 and returned to the UK on the same aircraft in July 1971. What can I say, she was a part of my life and I am very very sad to see her end. I have flown on many many other types but nothing compares to this wonderful aircraft. RIP Arthur Scarf VC (XV109).
John Brown Aberdeenshire (ex RAF and Stoney Stanton Leicestershire).
Thanks for the video and the memory.
