Larius pulled a Larius, as I like to call it. Personally, I though it was well overdue a spell got interrupted in this game.
There are way too many occasions when mages get away with cutscene spell casting, it makes no sense. It took this DLC to introduce to DA2 what should've happened just about every other time a mage went postal in the game.
