Nostalgia Critic's Disneycember - Beauty and the Beast

I'm simply posting this for all fans of disney, as the Nostalgia Critic celebrates December by reviewing all of Disney's animated films. This review covers the 30th animated feature from 1991, Beauty and the Beast.

And with a story as character-driven as Beauty and the Beast, a lack of investment in the characters really defeats the purpose of the story. After watching Beauty and the Beast in the theaters, though, I can really see why people can love this movie so much. This film is GORGEOUS and phenomenally well put together. It's still not my favorite, but I certainly appreciate it.

@maxtull21 why? Belle's much stronger than Bella, and the Beast has a much stronger arc than Edward ever could.

Seriously the one thing I would change would be Beast telling Belle his name after the dance and before he shows her the mirror (especially because that's when he's most human so it could show how much Belle was changing him and how much her leaving affected him).

Critic didn't cover enough Gaston. He's almost the perfect villain. He starts off freaking hilarious and ends up a complete psycho. If he were both, then he would be perfect. But still, he's my favorite Disney villain.

If he wanted to make a nitpick flaw, he could have pointed out how melodramatic it is. Seriously, watch it again and so over the top their dialogue and actions are.
