Portal - OoB Speedrun - Ch. 14

You can't really beat that... Its just slightly faster than the WR in time challenge (which is 3 seconds), but this wouldn't make time challenge into 2 seconds, it would just be a lower 3 seconds. ALSO, you may have noticed I am now using a custom portal gun skin. I figured it was appropriate for my speedrun videos. :-D. I did not create the skin, but it was made for me by my friend Quadstrike. Here is some data for you to check out:

I couldn't help but notice you walk through the door, and the first portal opens sideways. I don't think this is legit.

@SkyNinja1 You can walk through the door on this chamber and chamber 19. The first portal looks like that because it is a demo replay/recording error. Portals are viewed oddly when a demo is replayed and fraps is recording.

@Transgenic86 But when a demo is played the view doesn't roll. Not from my experiences at least, it's just locked twisted for me.

@SkyNinja1 I can't explain it, but it happens quite often when recording with Fraps. If you see other videos of Portal, or other videos of mine, you'll see half-portals and other weird stuff that doesn't look right. I'll be re-recording the whole OoB speedrun using startmovie, so visual glitches like this won't be there.

@Transgenic86 Bad idea, man, trust me. I have done one video in portal, and I used startmovie for it. It corrupted the first few seconds of the video, the view was snapping like I had an aimbot, and if you put anything through the fizzler, nothing after that will record right.

I'm excited about this run. I'm glad that people still have the dedication to take games like this apart. I still remember my old video I posted about this chamber, where I comment that I'd be surprised if someone beat 6 seconds. Heh!
