My current PC specs at time of recording:
AMD Phenom 8450 X3 Tri Core 2.1GHZ (stock)
ASUS M2N-68 AM Motherboard
4GB Kingston 800MHZ Ram
ATI ASUS 4850 512MB
160GB HDD
Vista Ultimate x64

Finnally Capcom has realeased a benchmark for Resident Evil 5 for the PC, I've been waiting for this one for a while.

This benchmark was done in DX9 at 1440x900 at all maximum settings with 2x AA pretty decent FPS around 35-60 (Fraps locks the fps at 60) wtihout fraps I get 45-80fps, overall I got a B rank on this video, without fraps recording I get an A rank.

Yet another one of Capcom's ports done right, this game is very playable on mid range systems like mine and it looks amazing, this has to be one of the best looking thrid person shooters I have ever seen. Props to Capcom hopefully we will be seeing more of their console games come to the PC as well ported as this one.
Yea I know the computer playing sucks at this game :P

I had to cut the recording files 3 quarter way through the benchamrk because randomly Fraps starts to drop the FPS like mad as you will see near the end of the video my FPS reached as low as 7 before i split the recording, just so you know.
I also didn't include the first test with the cutscene because I didn't have enough hard drive space for the recording.

You can get the Benchmark here:

  • wow 45-80 frames per second that sucks. the larger teh spread the worse. your better off with lower consistant frames then high ping with more then half less on teh low FPS Fluxuation is bad. i wouldn't be bragging about 45-80! 35 - 60 is better then 45-80. poor guy!!

  • @ez0469

You must be new here and like most new people you mustn't know what your talking about, keep in mind Fraps is a 60% CPU hogger. The frame rate doesn't jump as you'd think and no, to your statement your wrong, higher frames is better.

When I play, it doesn't jump from 45-80 in a few seconds, its silly if you'd think it does.

45-85 is over the course of a long play, some parts would dip, but they wouldn't dip 35 fps in the course of a small amount of time. Making for a smooth game play.

if it is continuously dipping it is bad to have a high like that and a low like that . no I am not wrong about it. now if it isn't swinging like that all the time then it is fine. i really doubt that your rigs getting that igh but that is fine. no need to proove it. if it is Awesome score. i do 50's with a nvidia GTX275 in SLI, both configured for Graphics, and a Descrete Physics PCIe 1x card. which is why I doubt your getting that high, GJob though

  • @ez0469

Keep in mind, it is a low resolution.

  • Will this run RE5? AMD Athlon™ II dual-core processor P320*, 3GB, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250,Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit,2.1GHz,320GB.

  • @ez0469 dont worry, i got a i5 and a ati 550v re5 runs smooth on my dell laptop :)

  • @demonicwarrior1

I forgot to mention i specialize in gaming PC's and sell them for a living! nudge nudge. I did miss that your using a low resolution. spaced it ! hey it happens..

  • @demonicwarrior1

becuase you have a memory leak somewhere, which is why your Flux is so high even on a differen area, your frames should still be closer

  • @charliephayer123

he unlocked FRAPs otherwise he wouldn't hit 40. if he didn't then wwewll hmm Odd, weird

  • @GRH235

probably with less tehn half the eye candy, and medium Resolusion!!

  • @demonicwarrior1

Personally when I have FRAPs loaded and recording i loose all of about 5-10 frames 10-20. I have a Core 2 Duo E7400 though OC'd to 3.61 Ghz typically On my last rig that is. this new one is better, but i have it totally stock!!

"FRAPs usage 10% more for me, whats up with yours?"
