WMD was fraudulent Intell fabricated by Micheal Ledeen and others in Italy in 2001, then passed to the British to make it appear legitimate.

The real reason the US attacked Iraq was because Iraq fired Scud missles during Gulf War I at Israel and Israel never had a chance to pay Iraq back.

Israels agents in the US and Bush made a deal which benefited both. Israel crushes enemy,US gets Oil and to funnel money to friends via defense contracts.

This war (like most others) has caused many perennial problems -- loss of precious human lives for one. Irrespective of people's stance on it, I feel that his is a useless war that has caused countless deaths of innocent people; weakened are faith in our own government; attributed more to global warming; depleted America's economy; and made this world a much more negative place...

the Americans invaded iraq for the WMD and to capture saddam, which why on earth did they need to do that anyway when iraq NEVER attacked the americans...i still yet have no clue why US is still over in iraq, this shows the us government is lying about their promises they really went there for, Bush will pay for his evil acts that he has caused

i agree with below message, the only way to know if its better is if the regular iraqi has hope for the future and any trauma can be overcome.

if there is real hope for their future, and they feel that things are progressing and changing for the better, then maybe what may have been an illegal war, has helped regular iraqis. we can only see, maybe now is too premature.

BEST ANSWER: ask the regular iraqi families, who have their doors broken in, with guns pointed at them. ask them what they think of all the death and destruction around them. The snipers, the gunfire, the running battles in their streets. how can anyone ask weather or not they are better off. this question is obscenely premature. until parents aren't dealing with the violent deaths of their children, we should not be so callous as to ask them if their lives are BETTER.
