I'm lucky. I live at the edge of a vast forest, so even if I go outside, I can still be out for hours, and not really run into anyone.
I can't imagine if I lived in a big, cramped city, though. No trees, no ravines, just alleys, streets, and nowhere to hide!

Only now I understand that I could be a hikikomori. When I was in school I spent all my free time at the computer, and almost did not go outside. I could be a hikimori, but when I finished school I had to choose a profession. Maybe it was planned that I must to became a programmer (and continue to sit at the computer), but I chose to become a psychologist (lol). I know that I will not be a psychologist, but now I'm not going to be a hikikomori)) i'm not sitting at the computer, and life good)))
This sums up my life in a short video. Dropped out of High-School freshman year. Lived in my mother's basement. Played games for hours upon hours and sleep through the day. Despised the sun, and lost all of my friends. The only reason why I didn't kill myself was because I always thought tomorrow had something special happening just for me. Then again, my fear of people kept me in my protection; my mother's basement.

being Hikikomori is a very different life style that many people may look down upon but remember, some Hikikomori become one because of how society acts against them so its technically the societies fault. Being paranoid almost all your life isn't fun at all.
