I tried that, but i can't find a fan that runs on 5 Volts most of them are 12 V
-
plz help my fan has 3 wires blue, grey, and black so i cant splice it
-
i made one .. not very much air comin out haha
-
using 2 usb-s would workd imo.
Thats 5v+5v.
Usually the normal pc vents use 12v voltage.
So 10v woild be nice too.
-
@ForTehFallenDreams if it has red and black probably
-
@funyguy if you get wires and split the connection alothough you only get about 2.5v in each fan so best to use one with two different cables
-
i have red, blue and light brown wire
-

OKAY...
5V is the maximum output of USB port.
So is it still enough for this kind of vent??
I think that it will need a 12V output?
Someone plz respond:D

@W1ld3g4m3r you can't use more than 5V from the usb. If you were to use a bigger fan, it could probably run but would be very very slow.

can that metal grill be taken off? What's its purpose?

@iCloudification yes it can be taken off, I just put it there.. its to cover the fan while its running.
