PART (1) Lublin, 85 Lubartowska Street, before the war it was one of the best known Polish addresses. In this place, in 1930, the largest Talmudic school in the world was established. Thanks to the school Lublin was referred to as the Jewish Oxford. The school was founded by the rabbi and rector Meir Shapiro, the first orthodox Jewish deputy to the Seym.

"Nareszcie zycie zydowskie sie odradza"? Let me say this in english because my polish is quite bad. Poland will never be what it was before the war. First of all jews are polo-phobic because of the huge intolerance against jews in Poland. Before the war, Poland was the most tolerant country in Europe towards the jews, but after the nazis and after the communists in 1968-1969 the jews have been scared off and won't come. Israeli jews are as scared of poles as they are of arabs. It's sad but true.
