This video shows the appearance of the left nasal cavity of a patient who had functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) for chronic sinusitis. Zero degrees endoscopic examination revealed evidence of inferior turbinectomy, uncinectomy, complete ethmoidectomy, and wide middle meatotomy flushed with partial medial maxillectomy performed previously. All the ethmoid air cells were uncapped and covered with normal epithelium. Frontal sinus ostium appeared widened with normal frontal sinus cavity seen by using 45 degrees rigid endoscope. The left maxillary antrum covered with normal epithelium was also visualized well by using the same endoscope. Similar FESS was performed on the right side without additional inferior turbinectomy. Patients remains well with no recurrence of sinusitis after the surgery.
