AHS CenterStage! 2008- "Welcome To The Black Parade"

Albertville High School's showchoir, CenterStage!, performs the sixth and final song from their award-winning 2008 competition show entitled "Instructions To A Child" at the Petal High School Showchoir Invitational. Winner at various nationwide competitions of Best Band, Best Vocals, Best Choreography, Best Stage Crew, Best Show Design, 1st Runner-Up, and Grand Champion. CenterStage! is directed by Scott Rains and choreographed by Mike Weaver.

this is horrible. the soloist has a terrible sound and vowels. the music isnt sung to the correct style. the costumes dont make sense. the choreography is horrible and could use some cleaning....they must be performing at some low grade competitions.

@titaniumman54 I agree that the soloist isn't the best. But he isn't the worst either. And idk how you say the music isn't sung to the correct style. It's supposed to be show choir. Not rock. Show choir is all about diction and clarity while in rock music most of the time you can only understand half of the words! The choreography isn't the greatest but they did it near perfectly. I don't see the flaws you are seeing and I have watched this video more than you can imagine.

@titaniumman54 And as for the low-grade competitions comment... If you call constantly being put up against the nation's top show choirs being at low-grade competitions then you are absolutely right. BTW... they beat the #1 show choir in the nation with this show. That's right. They beat Clinton Attache by 13 points I do believe it was! And everyone knows that Clinton invented the game of show choir and that they are in the top 3 every year. Most of the time they are #1!

@Giin1300 It's not supposed to be MCR! It's supposed to be show choir! And that's exactly what it is! MCR and show choir are worlds apart! But so are most of the things done in show choir. That's why it's called show choir and not let's see how close to the original we can get!

Dude, it's like, I know they're awesome and all, I understand the whole "spell it right or GTFO", but what I think everyone is trying to tell you, is that they lack the understanding of the song to sing it with the appropriate emotion. The song is lacking life. I get it that it's a showchoir, but they're SINGERS before being a choir. Emotion is a part of being a singer. I know that because I made half my school cry singing Total Eclipse of The Heart in the Talents' show.

people are so hypocritical.. i'd like to see them get up on stage and dance and sing at the same time. it's harder than it looks. and their dancing isn't bad, it's fantastic. it's very sharp and clean and their vocal sound is incredible.
