I dont get the building of a movie model time machine, not at all. Maybe cause we dont have any on the market yet to play with?! Time is a VARIABLE based on how far from a gravity source (or two) you are, and other things. Our scientists have PROVEN that time is changeable, so why all the fuss? People really are stuck in the dark ages, even on Youtube in this 'so modern' civilization!!
I think this is pure crativity and one day their models will be the building blocks of an actual time machine! KEEP BUILDING, DREAMING... dreams made our world today! Dreams like theirs will bring us to the universe!

I don't see how it's about the benefit, people would do it even if it didn't have any rational benefit to it. there's the wonder in telling a civilization that you're from the future, wouldn't you want to be that 'alien'?
