i don't think arya is necessarily meant to be ugly, shes just got the "stark" face and is made fun of. Lots of art work and actress choices completely ignore how george martin describes her which i find immensely annoying but at least this girl doesn't look so unlike in the book.

@Buechnerberner actually laughed at "get her to leave the room for the sex scenes " part. couldnt you just skip those parts ? gj anyways.

@beetIegeuse Well, can't be any worse that what she's exposed to in the comments....ya know?

I like the expression at the end. ;) Good sword play!

She looks more a Tully than Stark... all that would need be done is lighten the hair a bit & she could be a young (flashback scene) Catelyn

it makes me facepalm to see people like slihf make fun of this girl just because she didn't get the part...she is probably a good actor.

@Buechnerberner Regarding 'sli...'s comment; it's hard to tell because obviously he doesn't speak decent English and seems to be quite confused about the video in general but I think he's asserting that the girl who was cast (Maisie Williams) was cast principally for her acting and only subsequent to that did they give her training with professional fight choreographers; they didn't require her to be able to sword fight at casting. 1) Is that correct? 2) Good luck for any future auditions.

@slihfshf Good thing you got so worked up and angry over that. Now I have to go look up "actor-playing" in my Martian dictionary.
Oh I know - We only had a couple of hours to make something up and so we went with right hand - Margot has worked with her left but it takes longer to work something out.

I have no idea who this girl is, but Maisie Williams, the girl who actually got the part, is MUCH better suited to the role of Arya in my opinion. Great casting on this series, AND fantastic job translating the book into film so far.

@Buechnerberner Margot agrees? Does that mean the child is allowed to watch Game of Thrones? Not judging or anything.

@beetIegeuse
Yeah we watched them first and so get her to leave the room for the sex scenes - they are pretty graffic... however shes now 14 and I think not much would shock her... its a different world now.

stupid. they taught her sword in two hours and then said "fight" and "go, your an actor " ? No, in reality, they casted her for actor-playing. AFTER THAT they trained her and didn' thave much time to do it. The text in the beginning is fucking liar.

@slihfshf Actually, I was an actor before and was interested in learning historical swordplay, I had read the books and when I saw that they had a show casting I paid for some lessons to try and get an audition for the role of Arya. the actual choreography was done in about two hours when I was recovering from pneumonia. I thinkl that maisie williams did a FANTASTIC job and I wouldn't have changed a thing
