The Prisoners can sure do the Hustle...You can watch it just google prisoners doing the hustle,,,,Asian or something ..they all mexed up in that prison.

The Hustle is actually a whole group of dances. Each club had their own version. There were line dance versions and couples versions. Loosely any line dance could be called a Hustle.

The Hustle by Van McCoy is a song. When you see people doing a line dance to Van McCoy's song, they are doing THE BUS STOP. When you see partners dancing HOLDING HANDS to disco music, they are HUSTLING, OR DOING THE HUSTLE. Get It Straight.
Now don't get all mad at me because you feel misguided... Just search up THE BUS STOP, and realize that it came out in 1974 and Van McCoys song came out in 1976.
