@r4ptors21 Sorry. The Bose Acoustimass systems are “passive” and require a receiver/amplifier to power them. If you like Bose speakers and want to use them with your laptop, you may want to consider their “Companion” series of powered speakers. i know this is a bit dumb to ask but can you hook up the bose acoustimass module in the car? does it have built in amps so that you just plug it in with RCA out from your car stereo?

@heartache33 Unfortunately, no, you cannot use the Bose Acoustimass speaker system in your vehicle. While it’s not actually impossible, you would need a conventional home A/V receiver amplifier and a power inverter for the receiver, the surround sound audio source, and the powered subwoofer module of the Bose speaker system. Why do so many people that dont like Bose watching Bose videos? Fair enough we all have different tast but it people want to buy Bose its up to them. I have two pairs of Bose headphones and after reading poor reviews I decided to get some Grado's. I couldnt stand how bright they are and have now sold them. The point im trying to make is what one person hears is different to another, and I get tired of people saying "Bose suck" "Bose are not worth the money" but provide no evidence as to why?

i have 2 of these systems in my living room i also own 4 other companion 2 for my computers around the house. BOSE is amazing!!

Garbage. The big woofer actually produces mid-range, which is really weird when you hear voices and mid-range coming from you corner. It also causes me to feel like I'm going deaf in one ear, because of the locatable mid-range sounds.

ide rather buy some floorstanding speakers that i can FIX myself and not have to send in. bose makes stuff impossible to get into so you have to send it into THEM so THEY can get money.
