My husband and I met up with Sarah at her book signing event in Washington, D.C. and got to chat with her for a few minutes beforehand. My father also interviewed her for Eye On Books and you can hear his full interview at www.eyeonbooks.com! She was awesome, and very friendly - wish I had more time with her, but she had a full schedule so I was happy to get the few moments I got with her :) Also, she had Tig Notaro with her, which was nice :)

@ilshockll Did you even READ my post little boy? I actually DO something to promote equality. You hide behind a computer and pop off.
And listen up son, when you write to a MAN you take the time to SPELL WORDS CORRECTLY. Do you want to be taken seriously? Then grow up.
I'm done with you. I really don't know why I feel compelled to take time out of my day to engage with children. I need to work on that.

and i'm not concerned whether you think i'm an alone, impotent, troll, bum because you seem like a shallow vein unreasonable person. convincing u doesn't interest me. what i am concerned with is the blind eye turned to the tribulations of people stil paying for ancestral injustices. i'm sry some guy somewhere beat some chick... i didn't do it, can we move on? every1 has fuckin problems so y is more attention devoted to 1 side? y is there even sides? the concern should be for the ovr all well being

@teejate well i'm 22 so baldness and impotence are pretty unlikely conditions and my career is just starting. you'd like to think those are my short comings but the fact is i am a TRULY empathetic person, which i'm SO sure you would know nothing about. this allows me to draw from other sources besides personal experience... where as a self involved individual would unknowingly project their insecurities.

@ilshockll . I've actually been involved in efforts regarding REAL areas of discrimination against men; particularly in the workplace. Sure hope you weren't the recipient of any of those efforts.
By the way, you DO know you just gave a laundry list of your own personal, um, shortcomings, don't you?
To quote the great and historic line from one of the finest pieces of art ever to be captured on celluloid, the movie "Stripes" - "Lighten up Francis."

@teejate well she's is sexist so she cant be that sharp. apparently women are only allowed shelter from her wrath. thats due, im sure, (in part) to the fact that men have no struggles or hardships in their lives that could possibly be tender subjects. hell i'll say it. life as a man is easy so fuck um right?! impotence, baldness, penis size, body shape, success with women, success in career, confidence, peer pressures... none of those are things men have to deal with so wut could be off limits?

Sarah Silverman is one of the sharpest comic minds working today. Freaking brilliant. And she always comes across as a very cool person.
(And you did a good job with the interview. Even with the giggling.) :)

I always thought Tig was a fun character on the show and figured she'd be somewhat like that in person, but she's really creepy in this video and that was just tacky of her to throw her plug at these people in such a forced way when they're clearly not there to see her. I probably wouldn't have believed these other negative comments about her if I hadn't seen how she acts in this video.
