Mr. Driller: Drill Spirits - America (2000m) run

This is a run of me playing through and completing the America stage of Mr. Driller: Drill Spirits for the Nintendo DS (though this was done on a DS emulator). I was one air short of getting a perfect air bonus which really really annoys me.

The run took about 18 minutes to complete, so i split the run into two halves running simultaneously side by side and very slightly sped up to match the end of the music.

The music is a MIDI rendition of a piece called "Rhythm Song" by Robert Smadbeck, a fairly standard solo 4-mallet marimba piece, with electronic accompaniment that i did whilst a masters student at the University of Oregon. It was designed to be a "tape accompaniment" to a live performer playing the marimba part, which i wrote for my good colleague David Constantine for one of his performance recitals. Although there are definitely things i would do different now with the accompaniment (particularly some of my very very poor panning choices), i'm still pretty happy with it.

I thought briefly about doing some video manipulation to this as i did my previous Chain Factor project, but decided against it because i don't feel like it's worth the effort, and i have another video project which in its conceptual stages is already turning out to be immensely complicated, so i'm going to focus my energies on that.

i like 2 player game but i don't like the graphics of this type of game!the first game of mr driller was better but they forgot to put a level designer on time attack and multiplayer mode and the pale blocks and also the crystal blocks!
