American MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden urges Indiana motorcyclists to obey posted speed limits and ride safely in this new campaign by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute. Hayden will race in the Red Bull Indianapolis GP on Aug. 27-29 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. www.imstix.com
If we wasn't reading off of a prompter, he'd probably tell you the best speed is slightly faster than everyone else. This keeps you from sitting in someones blindspot for 5 minutes straight.. But seriously, never ride faster than you can see (night time), and if you truly want to crack that throttle wide-open, hit the track. I promise two things: you won't be disappointed, and you're going to hate the street afterwards.

I remember watching this dude race when he was a teen in AMA on the Honda RC 51. His younger brother was 15 riding on the Suzuki GSXR 600. It was fun watching those guys grow up in racing. Man I miss those classic battles of Nicki Hayden on his Honda RC51 vs Eric Bostrum on his ZX-7 R. Eric was my favorite rider until he left kawasaki.
