  • It comes standard with wifi.

  • I'd wait for the iPad 2n'd generation which would hopefully carry a camera and enabled expansion, plus more in depth multi tasking and a faster processor.

  • the best device and will always be the BEST device CANT WAIT TILL IT COMES OUT!!!!!!!!!!

I finally got it. So WIFI is internet anywhere near wireless internet signaling (just like a laptop), which is limited, but 3G is internet ANYWHERE there is cellphone signaling, which is almost everywhere.

I think iPad is a great investment, especially because keynote is included as an extra option.

  • I am also expecting a camera for iChat and Skype. I can live without multitasking though.

  • The $500 baseline model is wifi only. You can open and create word excel and powerpoint documents if you buy Pages, Numbers and Keynote for it. I love iWork, try it on the iPad I am sure you will like it too. And if the screen is better than my iPhone then I can say you can read on open daylight as if reading on paper too in this device.

    thanks 4 the info.

But I don't like to have internet on IPAD though, cuz it can get waaay too addictive.

I only need applications like word, powerpoint, excel, and more importantly ebook reader. But IPAd's starting price at $500 w/o WIFI is expensive.

  • it is what i was expecting - camera for skyping and the ability of opening multiple apps

  • @satchitananda24 these are the internet connections

  • what i thin is there is no purpose for this device as we are using iphone and ipod touch and there is no such difference between the ipad and the above two.... just th big screen... secondly there is an issue of placing this device i think it is difficult to do this things in ipad while holding the divice....
